This is my little place on the mighty Internet. Obviously. I’m pretty sure that you clicked on “About” for a reason. And this reason can’t be anything else but to find out a bit about me, so here it goes:

The eighties

I think it all started with those tiny handheld quartz games. It was a huge thing back then. Try this one out! Addictive, isn’t it? I know.

I got my first personal computer when I was about 9. It was a Commodore 64, imported from Switzerland along with 4 little programming books. I wrote my first program on it. Well, rather just typed in the code listings from the books, but it was great fun anyway.

The nineties

Spent most of this decade in school as every good little boy used to do back then. Only three secondary schools in Budapest had a specialised programming course that time. Yeah, software development was called programming back then. I picked the best (named after this guy) and went to become an “intermediate level programmer” 4 years later. Finishing that I went to a college where I become a “higher level programmer”. Paired this certificate with an intermediate level English language certificate and a driving licence, I thought I had everything I need with regards to education… So I applied to my first job and started to earn money. Real money! That’s a big thing for a 19-year-old, you have to admit.

Year 2K+

Hectic times. Worked on a bunch of projects for governmental organisations, private pensions and banks. In 2002 .NET came out and I jumped on it. Wrote a few distributed data processing applications and felt happy about it. Later I started playing around with web related stuff. Learnt ASP.NET and found it to be a very capable platform with a great potential to build a career on it. (Yes, I’m looking at you, WebForms D:)

I am working as a .NET / web developer consultant. (Shameless plug: Hire me! Contact me on LinkedIn or just guess my gmail and drop me a line :))
